☀️If a break from all the rain we had the last several months wasn’t already incentive enough, I’ve got another reason for you to get outside this spring.
☀️It turns out that vitamin D deficiency may play a role in several types of pelvic floor dysfunction like pelvic organ prolapse and urinary and fecal incontinence. Several studies have shown that women and children with lower blood levels of vitamin D are also more at risk for having recurrent urinary tract infections.
☀️How much is too much when it comes to the sun? It depends, but for most skin types 10-20 minutes of fun in the sun each day (without sunscreen) is enough to make healthy levels of vitamin D. For those who aren’t so sure about spending time in the UV rays without sunscreen, consider speaking to your doctor about supplementing with vitamin D.
☀️What are your fun outdoor plans this spring?? Let us know!
