With over 20 years of experience in physical therapy, Carrie Dendtler brings a broad range of knowledge and skills to Provenance Rehabilitation. She recently completed her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions in Louisville, KY, and she also holds bachelor’s degrees in Journalism, Latin American Studies, and Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. She has earned certifications in Pelvic Health, and she is licensed in both Lactation Consulting and Dry Needling.
Carrie is a member of the Academy of Pelvic Health, Pediatric, and Orthopedic sections of the APTA, the APTA Georgia, the Global Pelvic Health Alliance, the International Alliance of Healthcare Practitioners, the International Lactation Consultant Association, and the Southeastern Lactation Consultation Association.
In the early part of her career, Carrie practiced pediatric physical therapy, and it was during this time that her passion for working with mothers during pregnancy and postpartum was developed and solidified. It was her experiences working with babies and mothers that eventually drove her to continue her education in the areas of pelvic health and pregnancy/postpartum physical therapy. Her other interest areas include chronic pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction.
With her enthusiasm, compassion, and comprehensive range of skills, Carrie provides each patient with many tools to improve their quality of life. In addition to her work in physical therapy, Carrie enjoys volunteering in the community and spending time outdoors with her family, dogs, and horses.
